Ben Tyson studied product design at Stanford and earned his living as a design engineer at Hewlett Packard for 30 years, but his passion has always been fine woodworking. The techniques he learned through building his first instrument, a Renaissance lute, led him to build other musical instruments and projects of his own creation, found in the gallery section called “Bentwood Creations”.

His unique objects have been featured on TV, including wooden footballs for a Super Bowl set and a globe in commercial for an NBC show.  Other works have been commissioned as corporate gifts.
