Hollow wooden football using lute body-type construction. Bent and edge-glued mahogany staves (1/16″ thick). I’ve seen solid wooden footballs, but to my knowledge, this lightweight, hollow, bent-wood football is unique.

Two of Ben Tyson’s wooden footballs were featured on the set of NBC’s coverage of Super Bowl LII. One was made of mahogany and other of walnut.
